We’re getting ready for Norwich Pride! Celebrate Nofolk’s queer heritage with us at one of these events:

Coastal Queer Heirtage

Sat 15th July

Time: 12.30pm – 2.00pm

Place: Cromer Museum (meet by front desk)

A short talk on queer life on the coast hosted by Queer Norfolk, followed by a self-led LGBT+ tour of Cromer Museum. Talk is free with museum admission. Booking essential, payment of £4.80 on the day. Book here.

Norwich Queer History Walk

Fri 28th July

10am-12pm

Meet outside The Forum

A walk around Norwich City Centre with a pre-recorded audio guide with Queer Norfolk, exploring LGBT+ history in the built environment. Optional workshop in the afternoon. You must bring a phone with an internet connection and headphones. Approximately 1.5h in duration, over approximately 1.5miles. There are some areas on route where seating is available.

Norwich Queer Atlas

Fri 28th July

2pm-3.30pm

Norfolk Heirtage Centre (2nd floor in Norwich Millennium Library)

Create a page for Queer Norfolk’s ‘Norwich Queer Atlas’ about your favourite Norwich LGBT+ space – past or present. You may wish to attend the Norwich Queer History Walk (above) for inspiration! All materials provided.

Make a protest badge inspired tby the ‘Revolting’ exhibition at The Assembly House and protest badges in the Queer Norfolk collection.
